Head Start Program
September to May
M, T, Th, F 9am-1pm (No school on Wed)
- Free comprehensive preschool program (3-5 yr. olds) for income eligible families or children with special needs
- Health and developmental screenings
- Home visits and Parent/Teacher Conferences
- Parent involvement activities and Family Nights
- USDA meal program
- Child-centered, individualized educational curriculum focusing on children’s natural love of exploration and creativity
- Intergenerational activities with the Elders program

2012-2013 School Year
The Head Start program is currently enrolling for the 2012-2013 School Year! Please complete a 2012-2013 Head Start Application and submit it to the Head Start program by August 24th for priority enrollment.

Applications are also available at 1618 D Ave. and 2918 Commercial Ave. Please submit all complete applications (along with required paperwork) to: 1618 D Avenue, Anacortes, WA 98221

Early Learning Center
Year-Round
M-F 7:30am-5:30pm
- DEL licensed program for children 12mo-5yrs
- Competitive Rate: private pay (see our ELC Monthly Rates), DSHS, or Tribal CCDF sliding scale (tribal members only)
- USDA meal program
- Child-centered, individualized educational curriculum focusing on children’s natural love of exploration and creativity
- Intergenerational activities with the Elders program
Number of available slots: 20 preschool (30mo-5yrs)………12 toddler (12mo-29mo)
Enrollment is year-round. There is a $50.00 initial and annual registration fee.
To register, please bring in a completed ELC Application, your child’s birth certificate and immunization records.
