The Assistant RV Resort Manager is expected to perform all day-to-day operations of the RV Resort and is expected to operate the business alongside, as well as in the absence of, the RV Resort Manager.

Principle Duties
  1. Supervises all RV Resort staff alongside the RV Resort Manager, with direct responsibility for oversight of maintenance and security staff.
  2. Maintains knowledge about all working resort systems such as water, sewer, power, propane, fire equipment, TV, WIFI, reservation software, office network systems, and accounting software
  3. Upholds customer relations and resolves any issues that arise
  4. Ensures day-to-day operations of the Resort are following the current policies and procedures
  5. Evaluates and updates policies, procedures, and budgets with RV Resort Manager and Samcor’s participation
  6. Develops positive relations with all tribal administration
  7. Interacts respectfully, with a willingness to learn about Tribal beliefs and customs
  8. Maintains health and safety program for all employees and guests
  9. Hires office and maintenance staff as determined by management. Trains staff appropriately
  10. Cross trained to help manage budgets, advertising, banking files, daily sales, insurance, and bid/contract files
  11. Prepare monthly reports in conjunction with the manager and helps the manager present reports to the Samcor Board. Reports include finances, status of projects, and proposals for new projects
  12. Maintains inventory of equipment, store items, and consignment, Maintains general office supply inventory including placing orders and verifying correct shipment of orders.
  13. Answers telephone including voicemail and correspondence over email
  14. Greets guests in a professional and courteous manner
  15. Completes accounting duties including, but not limited to: financial reports, booking, cash flow controls (as outlined by Samish Indian Nation Controller), till audits/reports and bank runs
  16. Opens and closes store and registers. Performs balance audits and settlements of credit card payments
  17. Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree in Hospitality preferred.
  2. Minimum two years in hospitality or customer service field with one-year supervisory experience.
  3. Must have managerial knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and landscaping tasks.
  4. Must be reliable, dependable, flexible, and customer-service orientated.
  5. Must be able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking staff
  6. Must be able to prioritize job responsibilities and multi-task efficiently, meeting the needs of immediate problems as they arise, while being able to finish daily projects.
  7. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  8. Must be able to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
  9. Must have experience supervising staff with specific knowledge in the construction and maintenance fields.
  10. Must obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within 6 months of hire.
  11. Must be able to work independently, while coordinating with supervisor to delegate tasks appropriately.
  12. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. on a frequent basis.
Working Conditions

Physical Demands: Long periods of sitting (60% of time); occasional bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, lifting, carrying, and pushing (20% of time); and occasional standing and walking (20% of time). Occasionally lifts/carries up to 20lbs. Must possess manual dexterity sufficient to use office equipment with frequent repetitive motion such as writing, typing, cash-handling, and phone use. Must possess the ability to view print on a computer screen and/or paper document; the ability to speak and hear exchanging information with end users by telephone Mental/Visual Demands: Frequent mental and/or visual attention to task is required. Occasionally work requires heavy concentration.

Frequent interruptions. Tasks involve eye-hand coordination. Working Environment: Work environment is mainly indoors with heat and some air conditioning. Unavoidable hazards/risks: Work requires minimal risks which require safety precautions (using some cleaning chemicals for light cleaning). Protective clothing or equipment may be required (goggles, gloves, masks, boots, etc.) Random drug tests may be performed.
