Hazard Mitigation Plan Draft ready for public review!

Please review the November 17, 2020 (Draft) Samish Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP). The purpose of this document is to recognize critical Samish facilities, address the various natural hazards that may impact those facilities, and to consider potential projects and ideas to mitigate the impact of these hazards on the facilities.

This is the draft that we will finalize and submit to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Once the plan is approved by FEMA and Samish Tribal Council, we will become eligible for various funding to assist our mitigation efforts.

Your interest and comments are most welcomed and encouraged.

Hazard Profiles are ready for review

Please review the Hazard Profiles below. The intention of these profiles is to reflect the various risks to critical Samish facilities by natural hazards. They will be edited and finalized to be published into the Samish Hazard Mitigation Plan that will be submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Your interest and comments are most welcomed and encouraged.
