Samish citizens and their households are invited to a weekend of crafts, community, and culture at Fidalgo Bay Resort! Join a drop-in culture or language activity, a 2-day craft class, or simply enjoy community and food together to kick off Píxwel (autumn). Morning refreshments and lunch provided.

Learn Coast Salish design and painting from Nakesha Edwards.

Join us for a short Samish language class taught by Gabe Port, Rose Castilleja, and Lorelai Tillotson.
2-Day Craft Classes
Loom Woven Clapper Bags | 10am-3pm
Learn the fundamentals of Coast Salish loom weaving and make a clapper bag. Taught by Leslie Eastwood and Emily Blackinton Baker. Ages 13 and up.
Beaded Baby Moccasins | 10am-3pm
Learn to make a pair of beaded baby moccasins (made for size 0-3 months). Taught by Trish Breckenridge. Ages 13 and up.
