Victims of Crime

About the Victims of Crime Program

The purpose of the Victims of Crime program is to support crime victims on their path to healing and help to mitigate some of the immediate physical, emotional, and financial effects of being a crime victim. Our social services team also provides ongoing advocacy for citizens enrolled in our services.

Program Benefits

  • Medical and legal advocacy (our team cannot provide physical or mental health care diagnosis or legal advice).
  • Referrals to meet needs outside of our services.
  • Financial assistance to meet the immediate needs of crime victims as a result of their victimization.
  • Ongoing case management and advocacy.

Eligibility

The Victims of Crime program serves Samish citizens who have been the victim of a crime and secondary victim members of their household. The service area for this program is Washington state. Please contact a member of the social services team to inquire about eligibility or services.
